It's been over a year since Boombang has been down. Without updates from the official game creators we have nothing to post that is true. All our news comes from you guys, and none of us really do know if Boombang will be back. Boombang looks to be closed permanently but the website is still up giving us a slight hope that it may be back one day. This may be the last time we post on this website. It's been a pleasure providing news and information to all of you. We're no longer going to continue this project unless Boombang does re-open. But until that day, fair well to all the visitors, fair well to all our friends we've made, and fair well to our childhood game.

Tons of emails have been sent to us containing screenshots of Boombang returning people's money. A lot of them catch our suspicions of being fake but assuming everyone is telling the truth it really looks like Boombang is returning people's money. Maybe to satisfy their players? Or maybe because there will be no return of Boombang? We still don't know. If any of you still really miss Boombang there has been a retro (copy) version that we have mentioned in the past. Boombang.nl The creators of this retro are doing a good job maintaining and running the game. If you haven't played yet, I highly suggest you do so. Ring has been up for about a week now and they are planning on adding so much more. We'll update you when we receive more information towards the original Boombang. But for now take care everyone!

Boombang shut down so abruptly last summer. We had very little notice on when Boombang was (temporarily) closing. This being said, what about the money we spent on Boombang? The money that came out of our pockets into Boombang but we have no way of using. Isn't this a type of scam? Usually a game that is closing down refunds their players of their money or if they're moving on to a bigger project, they give them credit. Boombang wouldn't feel the need to do this if they were going to re-open like stated on their last News Post on June 4, 2014. If however they were going to close they would be legally obliged to refund their players in some way or another. From what we've heard not many of you guys have issued a complaint towards the manner. We aren't sure if Boombang gave refunds out to everyone who spent money shortly before it closed. We have got an email from an anonymous person which whom said they complained being scammed and wanted their money back. Boombang didn't answer but they did return his money. Although Boombang hasn't officially said they were closing, their actions speak for themselves. Why would Boombang send out a refund if they were going to re-open? We're not sure if they were forced to give out the refund because of legal reasons or if they did it out of generosity. But they did send out a refund for some reason. This isn't a good sign for those hoping to hear good news. Evidence like this supports that Boombang may likely never re-open. If we receive more information on this topic, we will share it. Until then, we'll see you next update!

It's quite obvious that the re-opening date March 29, 2015 was confirmed false. A lot of confusion is going around this websites' community. We are well aware that you can type in any email when trying to contact us, this being stated anyone can pretend to be an Administrator of Boombang. The only reason we considered the email from the last news report to be true is that we actually got an email from the domain; (L[email protected]tv) Whom ever may have emailed us did not use the contact button provided for the public to use. We have a private email that has been given to Luz (and a few others) as we've tried to contact her before in the past. We still cannot confirm the email was sent by Luz because there was no follow up email afterwards. In other terms, we did not get a response. We have heard of ways to fake an email, it's not simple but is possible. Perhaps someone may have faked an email with the domain; ([email protected]) All we know is the re-opening date was indeed false and we highly doubt Luz would give us such inaccurate information as shown. Hello everyone! We are still here and we are still releasing updates! We haven't been posting much because of the lack of new ideas or news that has come up. But the past week we've been receiving emails from a certain individual that may just have all the answers you are looking for. We have read and reviewed the emails and we are expecting a reply back within the next few days hoping we get more information or answers. We have been told by what seems to be "Luz" (Administrator/Staff of Boombang). What Luz has said was Boombang will in fact re-open MARCH 29, 2015; a week before Easter meaning a Contest will take place on the day of issue. We have also been informed that a new avatar will also be in access to everyone along with many more surprises that have not be revealed! This is great news for everyone who misses Boombang. We have not yet confirmed this is official other than we have actually been receiving emails from [email protected], which is the only reason why we would ever release this. Our game is nothing but memories now, everyday we wait it seems Boombang will never re-open. Our childhood game may be forever closed. It's probably for the best, Boombang may have moved on to bigger things. No word has been received ever since the final message on June 4, 2014. But that final message told us something important. That message told us Boombang would be back. They didn't tell us why it closed down, they didn't tell us how long, they didn't tell us a way to contact them, but they did tell us it would be back. We believe Boombang will be back. We're not quite sure how many of you even care anymore if Boombang returns or not, but I know there is at least a few of you. Boombang will return, and when it does it will never be the same. It doesn't necessarily mean in a negative or positive way, but it will be changed. Friends may never come on again, game may be updated, new features, new avatars, or just a new over all improvement. We are looking forward for Boombang's triumphant return as we will be there the day it opens. This website will not go down. To this day, no evidence from Boombang suggests what could've happened to our long lost game. Besides leaving the last final message on Boombang's (ESP) homepage stating that the game will be offline for a period of time. No information from any officials as been released since then. Staff of Boombang have left their players confused. No final goodbye? A re-opening date? Or even updates to what may be happening? It is left for us to figure out what may have happened to Boombang. Boombang going offline is very strange. Especially because we haven't heard from them ever since it went offline. But there might be an explanation for this. Boombang.tv itself is a web domain. A web domain is like a username, it is unique, and once it is claimed, there can't be a copy of it. People often sell domain names for money, or even trade domain names. But once a domain name is owned, no one can claim it as long as it has that owner. As most of us know, Boombang (The homepage) went completely offline for about 1 week. The page "boombang.tv" wouldn't even load up. So the domain must have been disowned. About at this exact time frame, Boombang.pw or Boombang.us opened up. Theories and personal research lead us to believe Fran (Owner of Boombang.pw) has bought the domain Boombang.tv along with all the others (.pw | .us | .cat | .ws | etc) This being said, maybe Fran is the reason Boombang hasn't said anything. Fran may be keeping the original Boombang.tv under maintenance to make it seem like Boombang.tv really still exists when really Fran is the new "owner" of Boombang. To sum it all up, Tim & Luz disowned the domain "Boombang.tv" and soon after Fran bought the domain along with a few others and made copies of Boombang while still making it seem like Boombang.tv still exists. Fran could be doing all of this in hopes it leads to the continue of active players playing on his retros earning him money. We must remind you all that this is not official. Merry Christmas & Happy New Years everyone! Unfortunately, Boombang is still under maintenance. We can't spend our last few days of 2014 on Boombang. No news still until when Boombang may re-open but we're all hoping its early 2015. New year, fresh new start, maybe Boombang was waiting until January 1st. We had a wonderful time playing Boombang with everyone the first half of the year and we had a lot of fun keeping in touch with you all during the other half. Have a safe and fun holiday! Boombang has been said to have been (temporarily) banned/closed for failure to meet SGCB's (State Gaming Control Board) standards and expectations. To simplify this, we have been told Boombang has apparently broken some general rules for creating online games on the web. We received an email regarding this issue and it has told us Boombang has broken many rules but lacks the actual evidence that it directly relates to Boombang and to the reason Boombang has been shut down. So keeping this in mind we did our own research on SGCB's regulations for the gaming community and found Boombang may have broken some of the rules. We won't get in any more detail with this topic because this is very likely to be false information.This would explain the reason for Boombang shutting down for over 5 months. This could be good news because Boombang may be re-opening soon but they're just waiting for their (temporary) ban to be lifted or worst case scenario, Boombang is permanently shut down. But if Boombang was just waiting out a set amount of time, wouldn't they update us? Or at least tell us Boombang would return. Boombang is an amazing game. They have nice staff, they update their game often and they host many contests/events with us. But one thing they lack is updating their players with information. If any members of staff that work for Boombang are reading this. We would all appreciate if one of you could update us on current topics like this, or others in the future. If this is not possible, consider hiring someone to do that job. And to everyone else reading this right now, don't worry we still think Boombang will be back. December 6, 2014; Boombang's rumored re-opening date was false like always. Right when that day past and just as we expected, new rumors from you guys came pouring in. More than there has ever been. We are a lot more strict on these rumors now. Unless you have a lot of reason or evidence to why your date is the official re-opening date, it will not be posted on the website. We still gladly appreciate all the emails we get from you guys but a lot of you ask why nothing you guys have said has been posted. Well now you know why. As of now nothing new has came across us. It's been 6 months since Boombang has been gone. Hopefully we don't have to wait another year. We'll update you all as soon as possible!

I was also told that quite a bit of English speaking players actively play everyday and they run into each other a lot, so for everyone who was asking if there is any ENG population on there I can confirm there is. Boombang is still undergoing maintenance. It's been almost 6 months since we've last seen Boombang online. Slowly everyone is believing Boombang won't be back. A few suggestions have said the only reason Boombang remains as the maintenance screen is so all the players that have bought gold coins don't complain they lost money. Even though lots will still complain, but it would definitely lower the amount of angry people. But as long as the homepage is up & running, we believe it will be back and this website will be up as well and updating as often as possible. Aside from that, people have been requesting that they want to meet us on Boombang.us (Boombang.pw). Possibly ask us a few questions or play Boombang together like old times! If you don't already know what Boombang.us is, it's just a copy of Boombang made by a few local players from the ESP (Spanish) server. So being that it's origin is Hispanic, Boombang.us is mostly inhabited by Spanish speaking players. It's not often that we find any players from the ENG (English) server. So if you'd like to meet us and a few other former players, we will be online SUNDAY. Contact us via 'Contact' button and we will give you more information. Please enter a valid email address as that is how we will respond along with your timezone or Area/Region you live in so we can give you an exact time we will be online. Just recently, we received a huge number of emails linking to a youtube video explaining why Boombang may have shut down. Unfortunately for us, the youtube video is in Spanish, so we had to get a translator. The youtube video explains possible reasons for Boombangs abrupt shut down, nothing that hasn't already been mentioned on this website. The youtube video also noted all the times the (Official) Boombang Forum was inaccessible and the contact button directly to Luz was also inaccessible for a certain period(s) of time. Another issue that must be addressed was a video report with "5ants". According to what we've been told, "5ants" is the creator of TinyThief and a few of the creators run Boombang (Luz & Tim). Usually Boombang News provides positive and hopeful information on Boombang and when Boombang will return, but we must remind you we are here to bring you the latest and most accurate news. It has come across us that Boombang may possibly have to restart all their work. If you haven't noticed, Boombang is (at the moment) no longer a flash game. The link to play Boombang used to be, 'www.boombang.tv/eng/play/flash' but if you try to type that in it will bring you to an error page. Also, when you click 'Play' on the Boombang homepage, you will be redirected to 'www.boombang.tv/eng/play'. So it is possible that Boombang is finally upgrading to a higher level of service and gaming experience than flash games. Most popular games have already done this, (Minecraft, League of Legends, G-Mod). If Boombang returns, possibly a download might take place which is obviously for the good. This is unofficial but it would really make the game a lot better in a 'quality-wise' perspective.
A few weeks ago we told you all Boombang may be shut down even though it's homepage is still up and running. But the only reason it's homepage remains is because most major websites run on a '1 year plan'. A few weeks ago we told you all Boombang may be shut down even though it's homepage is still up and running. But the only reason it's homepage remains is because most major websites run on a '1 year plan'. Meaning they would pay at the beginning of the year and the website will be on for another 12 months which is very likely to what would've happened. But again, everything here is unofficial and we've gotten this all from you guys, which we are greatly appreciative of.

Not much news these past few days. We're sorry to tell everyone but less and less ideas are coming to us. Boombang has been gone so long that no one knows why it for sure closed down and when it will be coming back. The Boombang homepage is still up though. So this site will be updated, online, and dedicated until the homepage finally closes. Just to think how many active players boombang probably lost. If Boombang does re-open it will be a completely new game. It's a bit exciting thinking of the new people that will probably join the game. December 6, 2014 is still the latest rumored day Boombang will re-open. Until then we have to wait. Thank you to all the people who continue to view our site. The past week or so, we were unaware that Hispanic people from the 3 Spanish servers (ESP, CHL and MEX) were visiting our site. Our form submissions (contact button) has been flooded with news in Spanish. According to the Spanish population of Boombang, the re-opening date is December 6, 2014 which is Constitution Day; an important holiday in Spain. This is the first we've heard of news from the Spanish servers and since Boombang has a Spanish origin they may have knowledge that we don't. This is of course unofficial, but everyone is looking for the next biggest rumor and December 6, 2014 looks to fit that role. Aside from that, a few people have been complaining Boombang News wasn't working for them at all, so I added a number of countries allowed to visit our site. By default we thought this site was open world wide but a few people were complaining so let us know if there are any more errors with visiting our site. Thanks!

Once again, another anonymous person has contacted us claiming he works for Boombang and has said there is NO official re-opening date. He has also said Luz has not contacted anyone about this issue and no one has contact with her. He has not provided any proof that he actually works for Boombang so I am again marking this as unofficial. Besides this, another rumor that I've posted a few days ago is that Boombang will re-open within a weeks time from Halloween. Tomorrow the deadline is up that decides whether the rumor was true or not. When I have more information regarding either of these two anonymous people I'll let you know.

However, he has not provided any evidence that Luz actually contacted him. The only reason I am mentioning this is because this is the exact same incident that the previous anonymous poster has said. The rumor that Boombang would return October 31st was incorrect. Many people were excited for Halloween but it turns out Boombang to this day, is still undergoing maintenance. Many people were really dissatisfied with the assumption Boombang would be back on Halloween. Many people are seeking other rumors towards Boombang's re-opening date. I've heard November 11 (Remembrance day), December 25 (Christmas) and even January 1 (New Years). But to be honest, I highly doubt any of these dates are even slightly accurate. People are probably just assuming big holidays or important dates must be a good reason for Boombang to re-open. Other than these dates, there is no accurate day with any information behind it that we can give you. He was notified and has provided further proof that he actually has contact with a moderator of Boombang. He has posted pictures of the email he received and it looks to be legit. Although anyone could of sent that email to him, so that isn't enough evidence to be proven true. I'm also not saying it's fake. I just can't guarantee you how legitimate it is. I really do hope he is telling the truth, it'd be great to kick-off Halloween with a little Boombang. If all is true, Boombang was said to return within the next week with a Halloween related contest. But other than that, the date still remains as October 31st for Boombang's return date. We've been emailed multiple pictures of a guy claiming that he has direct contact via email to staff that regularly work with Boombang. He has stated that Boombang will return within the next week. He also said the reason Boombang is down was because of some conflicts and issues with contracts and EU law. Boombang is a game rated 14+. Apparently some of the content on Boombang is way beyond it's rating in conclusion resulting in a (temporary) shut down. Most likely all the swearing, and trash talk that goes around. That is normal in a gaming community, a game isn't fun if there isn't trash talk. But rules are rules and Boombang has to follow them. Boombang is said that they came to an agreement and solved the issues. A few minor changes have been made but nothing major that really affects us. Is this official? No. Although the anonymous post was claiming that this information came directly from a staff member from Boombang, no evidence what-so-ever was included. Besides from this one source, boombang's return date still remains as October 31st. Just a few more days until Halloween, we'll find out if it really does open on the 31st. Someone has mentioned that the only reason Boombang's homepage is still up is because it's shop section still gets a number of purchases. It ran across our mind and it really got us thinking. We came to conclusion that this is very unlikely just because Boombang has been offline for almost 4 months now and the longer it stays offline (especially without updating their website) the less people that visit their website. Being that's its been such a long period of time, the number of purchases that are made won't be enough to keep the website up and running. It costs money to run a website so they would have to be making money in some other way along with all their website sales. Other than that, I haven't heard any other dates except October 31st. The date still remains the same for Boombang's non-official grand re-opening. We would also like to thank everyone who continues viewing our website every day. If Boombang does re-open we will be definitely be hosting an event and be giving away over 200,000 gold coins in prizes. A few people have informed us that the original page that popped up when you type "boombang.tv" is now back. For those of you hoping Boombang will re-open, this is good news. Boombang may still be undergoing maintenance but at least there is a few things changing, which means they're working on it. News that Boombang will have a grand return on October 31st, Halloween! Is it official? No. A lot of rumors are saying Boombang has finished undergoing maintenance and they're waiting until Halloween to celebrate it's reopening. Perhaps with a Halloween related contest, or a give-away. There hasn't been much news recently. I have heard from 2 friends that its BB's 10th anniversary and they're preparing for it right now. Is it true? I'm not sure. Do I believe it? No. Boombang might be 10 years old and that may be something to celebrate, but all servers have been down for months now. It's not worth it. I'm sure many of Boombang's active players would like a celebration, but a celebration that would take several weeks to prepare would be one of the most foolish moves Boombang could make. Another issue that I've noticed was all the rankings for Ninjaway, Crazy Coconuts, Hidden Path and Ring were (temporarily) down. I don't think Boombang would delete all of our Ring wins, Ninjaway points, etc. We paid money and spent countless hours getting those. If they do however, that would sure anger myself and many other players. Regardless, the 4 boombang servers are all up. It's a good sign that it should be reopening sometime soon, hopefully. Thanks! Boombang is still down. No news I've heard of so far has lead to information in regards to Boombang's return date. I did however, hear that Boombang is believed that the cause of being down for such a long period of time is because BB is having it's own problems. It's unlikely that Boombang has (temporarily) closed down for reasons other than its own. It's a possibility that Boombang itself could be having network issues, bugs, or glitches. Their upkeep costs could have also been the reason for a temporary shut down. It's a lot of work to manage a game with many active players. All of this however isn't necessarily true, it is just my opinion and the opinion of many others. There's a very good chance Boombang will be back up. I still have yet to receive further news. UPDATE: The past year I've been in somewhat close contact with Luz (Moderator of Boombang) via email and I've finally got a response from her. She said, Boombang has been shut down, and she is not sure when it will be back up. But she did not say that it will be shut down forever and she also did not say why it was shut down. So assuming this is all true, Boombang will indeed be back up hopefully soon. Boombang's homepage is online once again but is still undergoing maintenance. We might be unable to play but at least the homepage is up so Boombang still has a possibility of reopening. Don't take my word for it though, you can see all this information yourself with the link: www.boombang.tv/esp, you should be able to see Luz has posted news a while back on the homepage that Boombang will be down for a while and they are not sure when it'll be back up. In the mean time I am playing on an alternate version of Boombang that is really similar, it's quite popular at the moment but it's mostly populated by Spanish players. If anyone types "boombang.tv" in their web browser, they will notice the webpage won't be able to load. If it isn't obvious already boombang is shut down, for the moment at least. I've heard conspiracies of people ddos'ing BB or know about others that have. If you don't know what "DDOS" means, it's basically an attack with a trojan or virus that simply denies / blocks the service of a single system. In this case, Boombang. I highly doubt very many local boombangers know how to DDOS though. Many claim they know how to DDOS, but most of them are liars. Regardless, the idea of BB being DDOS'd is out there. Some people believe it others don't. Personally I don't believe it. I am almost confident that someone running a game with over 2000 active players on at any moments notice would have at least a little knowledge on internet protection and how to prevent being attacked. Anyways I'm still not sure when or if Boombang will be back online. It looks like it's finally ran it's course being that its a 10-year-old game. Usually BB is never undergoing maintenance for more than 24 hours, so being that its been over a month now is extremely strange. Many people have brought up suggestions that BB would be back up and running soon. The most recent I've heard was October 31st, and right after that, December 20th. Keep in mind these are rumors, I highly doubt either of these dates are actually accurate. Others have also said BB has shut down and never reopening. Again, these are just rumors. It is possible that BB could be coming to it's end, the game has been around for 10 years now. That's about the life-span of a game of this popularity. I just think BB should at least let it's fans know that it will be closing down and say a last fair well to all the players. That is all I've heard so far. Hello and welcome to BoomBang News! In the past I've created a few other websites for the BB community. I usually create sites for information that BoomBang does not usually provide. But to cut to the chase, I've created this website because BoomBang has been undergoing maintenance for over a month now and no one has a clue why. That is what jump-started this website. I collect information that I've heard myself, from the community and the creators. I have contact with a few moderators that work for BB and at anytime I receive information I will post it on this website. I am dedicated to update this website as often as possible so that you are aware of all the current events going on around us. Now with that said, I hope you get the general idea.
